protein
If you are referring to shakes/powders etc I can't help you there - I've hated every single one I tried!! I get all of my protein from food. I eat eggs, beans, turkey, chicken & a lot of fish. Cottage cheese is a good choice too. What phase are you in right now? Maybe I can come up with some ideas for you.

Donald,
I have had good luck with chicken, eggs, ricotta cheese, 93% burger, refried beans , cottage cheese and yogurt.
When eating chicken try to keep it s moist as possible, I mixed about a teaspooon of lowfat mayo and some ketchup to dip the chicken it it kept it moist and easier to chew. Are you still pureering? I have baked a boneless chicken breast with low fat cream of mushroom soup on it, it keeps it moist. I find that mixing the beneprotein with 1/2 of a individual sugar free applesauce (peach medly is my favortie!) is an easy way of getting the beneprotein in. Have you tried refried beans with taco sauce or salsa with a little low fat cheddar cheese? Warm it up in the microwave and its yummy! Egg salad is another alternative. Hope this helps.

You might like "Unjury" protein shakes. They have a flavorless brand that you can add fruit and splenda to that I really like. You can get it at www.unjury.com
You just have to keep trying different ones till you find one you like. I found that after surgery, what I liked before surgery had changed.
Good luck!

I would suggest you get some samples from bariatriceating.com or vitalady.com so you can taste what's out there...not just at the local stores. This was a lifesaver for me. I found a few that I really like, but everyone has different tastes.
One RTD shake that I found that I really like is Labrada Lean Body. I get it from Vitamin Shoppe and I love it. For the powders, I've recently been enjoying the Lean Dessert proteins. I find them yummy and use them as treats.
Bariatric eating also has some great recipes for shakes that might make them more palatable for you.
