What I wish I knew before my surgery
Dr Clarke is a WONDERFUL man & has many wonderful staff working with him - as you already know! You are in great hands. I had my lapband done on 10/29/07 and have just rolled w/ the bumps in the road. His staff - like Chris - will be there for you with any questions or concerns you have from day one out of the hospital. I had NO complaints about Ellis - even has a nice quiet room!
Good Luck with your WLS & being on the loosers bench! I would be happy to meet up w/ you at the meetings they hold everymonth, just le me know!

Thank you for posting this question! I am hoping to have my surgery this summer and it was informative to see the responses (had no clue about the shoes). It'll be nice to wear a medium width (hopefully) afterwards, lol. Though my 2 skinny co-workers also wear wide width shoes and somehow that makes me feel good. Melissa
That once you get home, it's difficult to get up off the toilet. My darling husband came and got me up and ran to the surgical supply store to get me a raised toilet seat.
That although I drank only 1 -2 cups of caffeinated beverages a day, that I was obviously addicted since I drank them Up to the day before and had to quit COLD TURKEY.. I didnt miss food, but I missed my coffee.. it was rough.

Wow thats was a very good question!!!!
