Just beginning...Highland Hosp. group Rochester, NY

I had RNY on May 7th, 2007 with Dr. O'Malley.  If I had to do it over, I would definitely wait for him.  He is worth it.  Not only did I like him, his staff is excellent.  I had a little problem with the Psych Dr. clearing me, but it all worked out.  I had my seminar on Sept. 28, 2006 and my surgery was in May.  It may seem like you wait a long time, but they are very thorough.  Since you have serious health issues, they will make sure everything is ok before you would get to surgery.  They do not just "push" you through the process.

Thanks for the encouragement!  I can't make it to the group this week, but do they let those who haven't even attended the informational seminar attend?  I'm scheduled for Dr. O'Malley's seminar on April 24th.  Really scared of the surgery though, and gonna give my all to WW between now and then.  Congratulations on how well you've done!
