Help!! Tired of being in pain!!!

Ok, so the pain in my tail bone is not going away. I went to the Chiropractor 2x's and nothing. He said the right side is swollen. The x-rays my PCP took says that they show nothing but a little arthritis, but that shouldn't be causing the sever pain.
If Tylenol and Tylenol arthritis isn't helping me and the Dr's won't give me anymore pain meds, what are my other options??? I am so frustrated!! It is painful for me to sit and I can't stand up straight. I do the ice packs and the heat , but the pain is still there!!! Grrrrrrrr!

Hi Deb. I feel awful for you. What in the heck is this pain from anyhow? Did you have it pre surgery?Did it come out of no where? Arthritis can be very painful if that's what it is. Not to be funny, but you are losing some "padding" there. I don't have any other suggestions except what you are doing already.  Maybe P.T. could help?? Feel Better Soon, Diane

Yeah just out of the blue it started hurting me. The Dr kept asking me ,"are you sure you didn't injure it"? I said I think I would know if I had injured it!! I don't know what the deal is!! My PCP also suggested PT but with me starting this new part-time job at night, I don't have much time on my hands. I am gonna give it another week and if it's not better I'm going to have to make time to go to PT. I was just curious what people take for pain other than Tylenol. There are some days I take up to 6 a day, and no relief. I don't want to take that many pills a day. Well thanks for the reply! Hope your doing well!

 Hi I am having the same pain in my  lower left back and hip..had a MRI and it showed arthritis.. The orthopedic DR asked me something new I was doing that I noticed the pain and I told him I lost 67 lbs because of lapband he told me that's  why I notice it more  no more padding like before.  He said he is going  to suggest to my WLS DR that I get the abdomen flat (lower stomach skin) should get taken off because it's pulling on my back...I only take liquid Tylenol when it is bad I do a double or triple dose.  good luck I  will let you know what happens.

i have found if one doctor wont give me pain meds then go to another doc......there are tons of pain managment clinics out there that can help.... arthritus is  a ***** and i suffer as well ....... i take norco for my pain and it works great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! someone out there will help you you just have to search..... i hope all goes well for you and your pain is relieved soon ...... good luck and god bless ill be praying for you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Norco? Thats the whole name? That is a perscription drug? I don't have the time or the money to keep going to different dr's. My pcp said there is a little arthritis but not enough to cause my severe pain!!!
To find another Dr? Oh man thats going to be hard.

i go to a rhematoid dr and a pcp and yes they prescribe norco 10./325 its unfortunetly a narcotic but it works ,,,,, its the only thing that gets me thru the day i hope all goes well for you there has to be some relief in sight for you

Debi, Maybe it is nerve pain....there is nothing more painful than that.  Maybe you should consider getting a full second opinion.  Maybe with an orthopedic doctor.  I'm so sorry about this... Rosemary
