Yet more questions, hunger? liquids? protein??

LOL everyone you are all funny!
Had my " Nut Convo" and that was really good for me. Just getting positive reinforcement helps so much! I know that one day I won't be so "needy" but right now I just am! I asked all my questions and she was very helpful.
First the issue of Hunger- she felt that I haven't been eating enough. And I have to make sure I get the full 64 oz. of liquid, which does include things like jello, Italian ice etc. For the last several days I have been but before that I was really struggling.
Which leads me to the Liquids issue, she said that I do need to make sure I'm not drinking my protein too fast... that should take a least an hr to drink (8oz) and if its been at least an hr or more after eating I can sip sip sip to get in the liquids trying to keep it at a full glass within the hour. That is much better than what I was doing! I think that will help me.
Protein was another of my questions she said the min. for Lap Banders is 50 grams per day but 60 is best if I can get that in, do it. Is helpful in making sure you don't have hair loss and it helps with the hunger.
I did forget to ask if all this was isolated to lap band recipents or the same for RNY'rs . Mainly I was encouraged to go to the support group from now on and to follow what my doctors program / team is instructing me to do. Same thing you guys all say LOL and to call her (Nut.) whenever, with whatever question I might have.
Next week I start with the solid food and she says variety will be key and incorporating things in one at a time is important. I am looking forward to being able to have chili.. isnt' that funny!
