Marathon Guide
I got my official NYC Marathon Guide in the mail yesterday. I am so excited. I can't believe I am really going to do this. Of course, there is still lots of training to be done between now and 11/4.

Congratulations! Isn't it amazing that not only is running now possible, but we actually enjoy and look forward to it. I started running in March of this year and hope to be ready for the Philadelphia Marathon November 18. When I had a little set back this month and had to rest, I so missed the runs. I'm excited. My 10-year-old wants to become more physically fit so we just started doing half hour run/walks on my "rest" days. The training give us great mother-son bonding time and helps him avoid the obesity trap that took me more than 30 years to beat. Good luck on your training! Cassie
Good luck to you as well. I had minor surgery and then a hip injury that slowed me down in my training. It is amazing how quickly you can bounce back when you have a foundation of fitness. It is not like starting all over again.
How wonderful that your 10-year-old wants to work out with you; you are setting such a wonderful example. Plus as you mentioned you have some great quality time together.
Let me know how it goes with you for the marathon.
