Anyone know when the next support group meeting is at Synergy?
Hi Debi --
The Synergy Support Groups meet at Synergy on the 1st Friday of the month (which will be Aug. 3) and the 2nd Tuesday of the month (Aug. 14).
Hope you're feeling better each day ...

Oh, quick question -- when you responded to my post a few days ago, you said Dr. C and staff were great and that the hospital was a different story.
Anything to worry about??
Well I sometimes don't come right out and say what I am feeling but I thought the night crew at Sisters were way less responsive to my needs. Not all of them but most of them.
Lisa (RN) from Synergy also works at Sisters taking care of us WLS patients. She is awsome!! Very understanding and right there when you pushed that call button. She would just come right to your room. The others would come on and say yes what do you need? Then take another 5-10 minutes to get there.
Also I didn't think it was to clean. Example: the blood that dripped from my drain tube (1st day) onto the floor in the bathroom and in front of my chair were still there when I left on the 3rd day. That really grossed me out. I was very happy to get the hell out of there!!

I have to agree with Debi about the night staff. They are just too short staffed and too many patients. That is why I recommended that someone stay with you at the hospital 24/7 to assist in your care and help you out of bed, to the bathroom and to walk the halls. I would have had a very difficult time being there alone.
I think my room was cleaned (as far as floors moped) at least once in the 2 days I was there (had surgery Wed and came home Fri) but I did have to ask them to remove the dirty linens and to empty the "hat" in the toilet. That should have been done without having to ask. Guess I was just spoiled. The hospital I worked at for 9 years had the rooms cleaned (floors swept and mopped), sinks and toilets cleaned every single day and I still believe that is how it should be.
