Dr. Goodman @Beth Israel Hospital

Hi New Yorkers, :) I am from Ontario, Canada and I am waiting for approval from OHIP (insurance) for out-of-country surgery in New York at Beth Israel Hospital   and Dr. Elliot Goodman will be performing it.  I was wondering if any of you have had this surgeon and surgery at this same hospital...and if you did, can you tell me your experience?  Needless to say, I'm more than nervous about everything about the surgery but at the same time I'm looking forward to shedding this "fat suit".   I'm not sure how you feel about Canadians coming over there to do the surgery, but regardless, I would appreciate your opinion. I think he only does open surgery and not laparoscopic which is definitely the way to go.  I would research your options more.
