Dr. Holover in New Hyde Park?

I just made my consultation appointment with Dr. Holover today to get my WLS rolling. I just wanted to get feedback on this doctor and see what others had to say if they have had him or heard anything about him. I originally was going to go to another Doctor but he didnt accept my insurance, but after some research i found this Dr. Holover and want to get some feedback so i can start ASAP with a clear mind! I am a patient of Dr. Holover's and I think he is awesome. Although I have not had my surgery yet, I have had a consultation and endoscopy with the doctor and have also spoken to him at a support group meeting.  My sister is a patient of Dr. Holover's partner, Dr. Garber.  I was originally going to use him, however, he did not take my insurance and I have NO out-of-network benefits.    I was very distraught until she and a number of others on this forum told me Dr. Holover was an Oxford participant.   When I went for my consultation, I was very nervous about the procedure. But after meeting Dr. Holover I felt totally at ease. He explained everything in detail, answered all of my millions of questions, and was extremely patient.  He is very personable and easy to speak to. If you decide to use Dr. Holover, you will be in excellent hands.  I am sure that more of his patients will reply to this post, as I have never come across anyone with anything negative to say about him. Hi, I am a Dr. Holover patient!! I had surgery with him 6 months ago. I have to admit that I love him!! He is wonderful.  My first consultation with him was great! He answered every single on eof my questions even if I asked the same question 10 times he would answer like I was asking it for the first time. Always there for me when I asked questions by email and phone. He was GREAT with my surgery.  While I was in the hospital right after surgery I had some complications (nothing to do with him). He came right up to the room to see me after the nurses paged him to tell him about me. He was there within seconds!! He even called the hospital at 3 o'clock in the morning to see how I was feeling. He is a great doctor. I am so happy that he is my surgeon.     

Dr. Holover  is the bomb o & the best there is it doesnt get better than he and Dr. Garber  I am living proof that their gifted hands will give you the life you want after surgery  and their gifted caring hearts will be what yo need for lifetime after care and maintenance they TRULY CARE ABOUT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US  UNLIKE OTHER SURGEONS WHO ONCE THEY OPERATE YOUR OUT OF THEIR LIVES  THESE SURGEONS AND THEIR INCREDIBLE STAFF  BECOME PART OF YOUR FAMILY fell free to email me here any time with any questions

i too am a patient of Dr. Holover.. I haven't had surgery yet.. Had my initial consult with him and He performed my endoscopy 7/5, I have heard NOTHING but great things about him. He is very, very personable and approachable. I have my 2nd consult 7/25.  I have every confidence in Dr. Holover and the program that is offered with this practice.
