Yesterday I went to my first appt after surgery.  my surgery was 10 days ago and feeling much better. I am ot even taking pain pills anymore. I am eating 4 times a day, egg salad, pudding, jello, pea soup, cheese yougurt, some low fat cream soups made with skim milk had a couple protein drinks (yuck) and constantly sipping all day long. I even had a peach it was incredible. I peeled the skin off. Today I am gonna try some peanutbutter creamy.  Well any way I got on the scale to get weighed and lost 18lbs in 10 days. I said is this scale right and she said yes it is . this so far is the best thing that ever happened to me. Other then gettting married and having my kids. So needless to say I am very happy and ny incision is healed perfectly. I used rubbing alcohol to get the sticky stuff off fom the paper tape. It worked excellent. Today I am going shopping at the galleria mall. I have to go wright after I eat or I won't have enough energy to get me through that whole mall. I get tired very easily thats why I'm trying so hard to find some protein drinks that I like. Sheila

Sheila, you're doing great; congratulations. Good luck w/the protein, it can be hard to find one you like. I know people have some favorites ****ep kosher so I'm pretty limited--good thing I like the Spiru-Tein.)

Soy crisps by Glennys are something my nut told me to always keep in my purse--one 1.3 oz. bag has 9 grams of protein--not the best, but certainly a help. Many flavors also have calcium & folic acid too.

I also had a peach and it was WONDERFUL!

YEAH SHEILA....you are definitely on your way...I weighed in with a 37 pound loss...that is from 5/10...I was pretty happy...but, looking forward to Onederland...41 pounds to go... I now wish I would have broached you at the Dr's office...would have enjoyed sharing "war" stories, Rosemary

Hi there Sheila. I'm so glad that you are feeling better everyday. You're doing great! It's tricky business in the beginning trying to balance when to eat and trying to plan to go out. It will get much better in time. You'll find that you will have your own little "standby" munchie in your purse for emergencies. Happy Shopping.  Take Care~~ Diane
