LapBand In The North Country?
I can't seem to find a bariatric surgeon that does LapBand up here.
There's Brackman, but he doesn't take BCBS Excellus. As far as I can tell, he's the only one up here. The next closest place is Syracuse (over two hours away).
I'll make the drive if I have to, but does anyone know of any closer? Plenty of time to find one, I'm not even going to make a consult appt until October or November.

Brackman is out of Long Island Laparoscopy. He has an office in Ogdensburg? I don't know how it works...he has a few offices across NY...maybe he flies in for surgeries?
He pays to advertise here, and he has a website...but BCBS has never heard of him, and he's not listed on the LapBand website. Both of these factors make me kind of wary of him and I think I'd rather drive to Syracuse than try to take him on as my surgeon.
I realize that it will be a total pain to make the drive, but Howard Simon is the BEST around for lapband!
