Hi Joe~
Sorry something happened and the greeting of my last post just posted.
What do I love about Dr. Holover?? He answered every question even if I asked the same question a million times at the first meeting. Even today when I see him he answeres the same questions over and over and never gets angry. He is caring and knows what he is talking about.
I had some problems after surgery when the nurses called him within minutes he was there with me. He even called the hospital at 3 in the AM to see how I was doing!!!
He does lap and RNY. I had RNY and have had no problems with the surgery.
Mercy Hospital was very good to me. I have no complaints.
Good luck,
Tara
Hey Joe! First and foremost welcome to the boards. May i strongly suggest you do some research on your own, we can give you our experiences through OUR journey but really you need to do some stuff on your own. I would recommend going on your health insurances web site and printing out what they have to say about bypass surgery, you need to follow that plan so it's best if you kow what's on it. I had to do a six month diet history, if you need that make an appointment immediately so you can get June out of the way! ANDI
Congrats Joe, Happy to hear you are investifgating your oprions. I think it is wise to speak with your personal Dr. and ask him what he thinks. Believe me he has many patients who have gone through the surgery and he knows who to suggest. I went to see Dr. Geiss and was very happy with my outcome. In regards to insurance, his office staff knos\ws exactly which insurance companies except and the exact steps ypu need to take in order to get approval. Good luck Jane
