Pre-op testing & my daughter's coming home tomorrow!

tomorrow's my pre-op testing @ Mercy. I'm a little nervous. After that I meet w/the bariatric coordinator. After that I go see Dr. Garber. After that I go to my PCP & get my surgical clearance. I'm going pretty much from 9:15 a.m. till 5:30 p.m. <br />

My daughter has been studying overseas since September. She was supposed to get in @ 8:pm with me picking me up. We just found out there is going to be an airport workers strike in Israel, where she is, so she RAN to the airport & got on an earlier flight, just in case. SO, she gets in @3:15 p.m. & I can't pick her up! <br />

I have this fear about the pre-op testing that they're gonna tell me it's all off. I have every test complete, my surgery date, etc. I'll keep telling myself that feelings aren't facts.<br />

P.S. I posted on "Karen I Update" that I have to miss next week's Mercy support group. Just because I have to go to KANSAS for business for one lousy night, and it has to be that one. I'm really upset about that, like you were all gonna give me the magic secret to get through the surgery. I even asked if you all could TiVo it. I guess this should be the worst problem I have for my RNY<br />

don't be nervous your preop testing will be just fine. You will be able to get your surgery done as scheduled. think positive. I'm sure your daughter understands why you can't be at the airport to pick her up. you will see her when you get home from the doctors. I wish you well on your surgery for a fast and easy recovery. You were right, again. Testing went fine; met 2 nice young ladies having surgery on the 18th & 19th. Hopefully one of them will be my roommate. No roomate would be better, but they're both very sweet.
