Hi All!
I haven't posted in a bit. I have to tell you, I have never been so happy in my life!
At 3 weeks out I have lost 17 lbs and a total of 34 since February.
I guess I didn't know what to expect.
I've heard that banders don't lose at the same rate RNY patients do. I beg to differ.
I started this journey at 246 lbs and am now at 212. I am about 1/3 to my goal and haven't been given the release for CURVES, yet. For those of you who don't know, CURVES is a women's fitness center. The program provides a 30 minute circuit, you move every 30 seconds to a new machine/pad. The machines are based on resistance. At this time I've been walking and doing "stuff" around the house, but no real exercise. I keep getting the feedback from those around me, don't push yourself. Well, I don't feel like I even had surgery. Actually, if I didn't see the 5 little incision scars and feel my port, I wouldn't believe I did have it! So, I'll be calling my doc's office today to see if I can get a release so I can get back to some real exercising. I suspect the answer will be "no", but it's worth a try! LOL
I'll post my measurement loss when I can get back there!
So for those of you considering lap band, we can lose this weight with a band!! I'm lovin this new body already!!!!

Cheri,
Hun it is awesome to see you in such a great frame of mind and I am so happy for you that you are losing so quickly
CONGRATS on that weight loss! As Stacy said, if your in the right frame of mind then you can do anything.
I hope you get the release from the Dr to get back to working out, I know once you start you really do not want to stop. I am hoping that will be my new healthy addiction.
Seems like I am on my way there already.
take care
