I am so freaking grossed out at myself.  I tried to eat some White Albacore Tuna...with like a half a tsp of light mayo.  I got two bites in and I knew it, it got stuck.  Oh the PAIN omgosh!!!!   I swear I chewed it good...I swear I swallowed slow...but man.   My body did something so freaking gross!   I started belching over and over and then in a burp it came up...not once but twice. I am not eating another thing today,  I swear I am so freaking freaked out!   I got some chicken stuck the other day.  Butthat did not happen.  I think I need to back a step up and try moister stuff.  Egads!

I had a similar problem with tuna.  I mean, not the throwing up part but I was pretty damn close to throwing up.  For me it was the texture of it.  I didn't put enough mayo, in my opinion.  Dont stop eating for the day.  Just switch down to something with a smoother texture maybe?

Hi Chelle.  Tuna is pretty hard for some people. I had it today and it is not one of the easier foods and I'm 3 months already. Instead of not eating for the rest of the day just eat yogurt and creamy things like that. If you still have that "stuck" feeling, drink some nice decaf herbal tea. MMMMM - MMMMM Take Care~~ Diane PS. It could be "Broccoli, applesauce & mustard" withdrawal.

I add some chicken broth to make it moist and it goes down fine.  I am having a problem with chicken.  I had some saturday and I was so sick I just went to bed ( at 2pm) I couldn't even move I felt it going down and up all say.  I was wishing I could , but it just wouldn't.  Trial and error I guess.  I know I ate too fast on Sat and I think that was the major issue,  I didn't give my head enough time to realize my stomach was having an issue with it.

Wow Chelle! Sounds exactly like my story. After the first two weeks on clear fluids, I moved to mushies and decided to try tuna with mayo. Oh the pain! I actually called the surgeon's office because I was so newly post op and was afraid to puke for fear of busting my stitches! The nurse reassured me that "purging" would make the pain go away. It was my first post op puke and boy was it traumatic...but the pain cleared as soon as I brought the tuna out of my poor little pouchie.
TMI, I'm sure, but I can so relate!
Hope you're feeling better.
BTW, I eat tuna now all the time, no prob.

I cannot believe they actually have it on the list to try.  They said with a little mayo so I did.  Will not try it for months I am sure!  ROFL about the nurse telling you to purge, eeeks! I would of been a wreck thinking I would ruin something, lol
