WOWSERS!!!!!
Cheri,
I love your enthusiasm!! I wish I had half the energy you do!! I read so much on how much energy people have after surgery. That's what I can't wait for!! ( not to mention the weight loss too)! I'm sick of feeling like a slug!!
I'm glad to hear your doing so well and have so much energy! Keep up the good work!
Debi

I know the exact feeling, Debi! I work a full day and would leave for work, do my duties, come home by 5:30ish and slug on the couch until I would go up to bed about 11, watch tv in bed until 2 - 2:30, then get up at 6:30 and start all over.
Oh, did I mention pasta? Well, it's my fav food other than SUSHI from WEGMAN'S. I would comsume 1/2 lb almost everynight. Too lazy to cook something nutritional. That's what I would eat while sitting on the couch. I mean inhale. I barely chewed it, even when I was supposed to be practicing my 20 chews and 5 minutes between bites. I snorted it in. I do know that someday I will be able to eat it again. I just know that my piggie portions would have fed a family, so my new-me portions will not only look different, but will taste and will be consumed differently.
I was on ATKINS once a few years ago and did wonderfully. I truly believe that the carbs we consume deplete out energy levels. Even if it's a quick burst of energy we get from them, the aftermath is detrimental! This protein stuff we do post-op (and for some pre-op) is where we are going to get the ENERGY, along with maintaining muscle during this process.
I believe ENERGY also comes from success, as small as it is. For me, just knowing I wasn't feeling as bad as I expected to be feeling and seeing some small changes has placed me on top of the world.
You're going to be there, Debi. Just be patient with the process. You're gonna be a loser!!!
