It's been 5 weeks already!
Hi everyone,
Wow i can't believe it has been 5 weeks since I had surgery. Things are going pretty well aside from a minor set back with muscle spasms in my back. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the surgery or not but it has not been pleasant. I have been adding some new foods here and there and finding out what I can tolerate and what I can't. So far eggs are OUT. I can tolerate chili and homemade chicken soup. I am still learning to eat slow and chew, chew, chew. It's honestly the hardest lessen to learn. The good news is I am down 32 lbs since surgery and 72 total. I feel so good. I am wearing a size large top and 16/18 pants, neither of which I have seen in 15 years! I was shopping for my son's borthday today and started looking at clothes for myself. I was able to look in the normal section! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOO! I didn't buy anything, but it was nice to know that I didn't have to look in the big girl section. At the end of this month I am taking my boys to the Great Escape for the first time in years and I will be able to ride the rides with them. I think I am more excited than they are!
For those of you that are just starting out, this is so worth it. I have not felt this good, energetic or confident for so long. I wish I had done it sooner!

Janet,
Congrats on your weight loss hun...
You should be so very proud of yourself!!!
SO many awesome changes at this time for you! ENJOY!
I know for me eggs can still be tricky and I am almost 2 years out. Most of the time it is ok but when I eat them to quick I know it!
Chewing slow is good and will be well worth learning and keeping for the rest of our lives, I still try to remember that and put down my fork between bites. I also love the fact that I do not need to go to the PLUS size section any more.
Have fun at Great Escapes!! Keep us posted!
