I think its the only think i hate about NYC...wi**** was FLorida weather but in NYC ahhhhhhhhhhh. Ok wish ful thinking. ANyway just wanted to check in with everyone since this board has been a little slower then usual . Want to make sure everyone is doing ok. Me i am 3 weeks post op tumor removal and tt and doing well. Swelling is going down finally. I dropped a few pounds as this is happening and thats cool. I feel good, just remain a little tired and not able to sleep well, guess they go hand in hand. Other then that i am enjoying not working and being home with the kiddies. I go back 2nd week of February. I am also enjoying the fact that this NY house who has been Bears fans forever is going to finally get a superbowl. We are very happy about that. So whats happening with all of you? Give us a little update...... LisaMarie!

Good morning sweetie. Glad to hear that you are doing well. Wow, it sure takes a while for the swelling to go down. Hopefully things will be back normal for you sooner rather than later. I'm just getting ready for work. Keep warm. It's supposed to be really cold today in this area. Rachelle

LisaMarie, Good to hear you are doing better and better every day. I am trying to keep warm here, it was -1 this moring.....brrrrr..... Well I am with you on the FL thing... Though I am not sure how the humidity would be day to day. I am doing well myself, searching for a new job.....doing my treadmill for 20 mins 3 X a week and sticking to it...YEAH for me. Feeling really good and hoping my weight starts to come down, not eating all that well but working on that. I can only work on one thing at a time here... Well take care hun and have a great weekend ALL Debra P

Good Morning LisaMarie and OH Family... It is certainly chilly this morning... I live up north is Whitehall (just above Lake George) and it was -12 when I went to my car this morning... Brrrrrrrrrrrr! Florida would be nice right now! I am doing well... I am at my 4 month mark and am down 95lbs. I lost 40lbs before so that is a total of 135lbs GONE! I am so thankful for all of you guys on this board. You have all made this journey so much easier! Love & Hugs... Lori

Good morning, All! I just came back from my 9 month checkup (yesterday was the anniv. day). My surgeon is very pleased with my progress. I am down 144 lbs and he said that is 81% of my excess weight. He told me that the average person loses 80% by the year or year and a half mark and I am already ahead at the 9 month mark. I would like to get down another 40 which would bring me into the normal for my height. I am feeling very good (despite the brutal cold). I had fallen at work in Dec and discovered a few weeks ago that I had a tear in my retina that had to be healed by laser, so I was not allowed to do the gym for two weeks (which will be up on Monday), but I still do my walking. I am just so grateful for my whole journey! Enjoy the weekend, Sue

Hi LisaMarie, Excellent news on your recovery! Way to go! Me? Today was my last work day, I officially retire on the 31st of Jan but I took the 29, 30 & 31st off for medical appointments including a liver biopsy on the 31st. I've already began working at the local teaching hospital transporting nonnarcotic pharmaceuticals and picking up and delivering specimans for the lab. It's a job that keeps me busy on alternate weekends and I have to find more just to stay busy. Already I anticipate being bored so I need more at this time. So that's my update. I'm still a size 4 and 120 lbs with a 2lb fluctuation from day to day which is normal according to my nutritionist. I'm always worried about gaining too much weight but that is normal thinking process after wls as well. It's all a matter of keeping on track and journaling the food intake. lately I've been munching on hershey kisses but now that I've left work that won't be a problem since I don't buy them for the house. Well that's about it...I'm really proud of everyone on the board with their commitment to wl and maintenance. Congratulations on your success. The cold will go away eventually and we will all enjoy and probably even complain about how hot and humid it is in NY...that's the cycle up here in the northeast. LindaM

Hey Sweetie! Glad to hear you're recovering well. The nice thing about having surgery (aside from the obvious bene's) is that wonderful time off from work. I remember it well. Soak it up while it lasts! I am doing well. Down 110 pounds, just started losing again after a helaciously long plateau...what made the difference was stepping up my exercise. I am 11 pounds away from moving from the obese category to the overweight category. Never thought I'd be looking forward to being overweight! Baby, it's cold outside! ... and snowing! Hugs to you.
