Maryellen,
If you can afford it I would say go for it
It can not hurt! I know for me it was just not in the budget right now so I can not do that but if I could I would for sure. It would help you stay on track and keep working out I am sure.
I wish you all the best!

Hi Linda,
I will bring the card home tomorrow, it is at my job (some good it is doing there!!!) and email you the information. They have one location in LIndenhurst and one in E. Patchogue. Anyway, we both have the same surgeon and live not far from each other, perhaps we should exercise together?
Do you belong to a gym? I do (but do not go often
) St. Joseph's College, where I work. They charge $5.00 a visit for non-students/employees, are you interested?

Hi Maryellen!
I started with a personal trainer about 1 month ago. She had Roux-en-Y surgery over 5yrs ago with Dr. Garber. I have her come to my home 2 x per week and try to do the 3rd work out on my own. She has been there and knows first hand what we are going through. She has been very encouraging and made me feel better about myself. I don't recall her rates because I paid for 10 sessions at once and received a discount. I have 2 more left and I will continue once they are up. I have noticed a difference in strength, energy level and self esteem. I would recommend a personal trainer for anyone!!! I think it is a great investment in ourselves!!!!!! If anyone would like Lisa's number please e-mail me. LC
Hi Linda,
Sorry I haven't responded sooner. The trainers name is Dr. Dan and he is in East Patchogue at 250 Yahpank Road. HIs number is 957-7377. I have been real busy at work and I'm taking an Intercession class that ends on Thursday evening, so after that I will call him to schedule a free trial visit.
Let me know if you like him and keep in touch.
Thanks,
Maryellen
