I can't seem to find....
The time varies for any type of surgery. It also depends on what type of job you do. Generally, recovery time for laproscopic surgery is 2-3 weeks if you have a desk job, or one that doesn't require lifting. Recovery time for someone that has a job that involves lifting any amount of weight is usually listed as 4-6 weeks. Hope this helps.
Hi Rev Locke
It all depends on the individual and what type of work you do. I had the gastric bypass and was operated on a Monday and went Back towork the following Monday for half days. It was ok for me but too tiring to sit for 4 hours. So I just did half days.
When and where are you having your surgery?
Marie
Rev. Locke:
Recovery is individual, and post-op recommendations also vary by surgeon. If everything is 'typical' or runs 'as planned' which there is no guarentee then most sources would probably say: 1-2 weeks (this is a quote actually from the lapband book by inamed!) http://www.lapband.com/lapband/lapbandfaqs.do#10099032
Here are 3 groups who can give individual experiences as well, from the OH one to the NYC one to the over 5000 member yahoo main bandster group!

IF you have a surgeon in mind call them and ask typical recovery time to return to work (and indicate the type of work u do!)
