MY surgery was canceled!

Hi Britt, I know that's a HUGE dissapointment....My surgery was rescheduled too....but I took the time to get all my duckies in a row and get myself together emotionally and physically for it. It all worked out for the best for me, and I'm sure it will for you too. Use your time to your advantage. Hugs, Amy

Amy, I do plan on using my time wisely ... resting, getting better and getting some things done off my "to do list" It is soooooo disappointing .... but I know there are far many worse things I could be complaining about. I am just hoping it will go by quickly thanks, Britt

I'm so sorry for cancelation of surgery,I don't know why you have to do pre-testing again.Look on the brightside you can get rid of your cold,so get better. Don't worry to much everything will work out for the better. see ya Claire

Claire, I guess they want a new chest x-ray, boold labs, & ekg so it is with in 30 days of my surgery. thanks for the well wishes, Britt

Britt: Sorry to hear of the delay. *Due to your sickness? right?* Best to be 100% safe as the goal is anew healthy life OFF THE TABLE! I can't change it (wihs I could for u!) but I can relate, my surgery was rescheduled 3 x due to a nuring shortage/OR time issues! *How about that going back to work 2x and having parents and hubby have to rearrang etheir schedules as well! sighs! I feel though for me 10/9/2002 was the day I SHOULD Of had surgery. I feel things happen for a reason (even though I didn't like it at the time!) I used the oportunity to get even more emotionally prepared! Be well! Yes, Jamie the delay is due to my pesky sickness . I know, its the "right thing" to do ... just a little ( NO ... A LOT) disappointing! But I agree recovery will be easier without a cold. I feel for you having to reschedule three times. I just plan to get better and keep myself busy and pray that my new surgery date goes off without a hitch Hopegfully the time will fly by. thanks, Britt

Hi Britt - What a BUMMER! Sounds like you're handling it as well as anyone could and I'm glad you're going to use the time to get some other things done...but nonetheless, it's tough to be up for something so major and have to wait. Wishing you the best, Mary Mc
