Dr. Matthew Brackman?

Hi there. I am from Toronto Ontario Canada and I am interested to know if anyone has had their WLS by Dr. Matthew Brackman (or his associates) at his New York location? I understand that they are the bariatric surgeons for the NYPD & NYFD. Can you give me any info on their practice? Do you know anyone who had surgery by him? I am considering him as one of my options for WLS and no one in the Ontario Canada forum has heard of him so far. Any help you can give would be appreciated. Thanks! Ruth Toronto, Canada

I don't know anything about Dr.Brackman but I will say this: DO NOT USE DR. GOODMAN! Enough said. -Karen

Hello Ruth . I met Dr. Brackman once during my initial consultation with my own surgeon, Dr. Brathwaite. At the time (Feb) they were working together during surgery,but they are not now. I don't know all the exact details of the split. I asked why he was no longer with my Dr. and I was informed by someone in the surgeons office that Dr. Brackman was more interested in making WLS a big business ($$$) and less interested in the patients.
