1 yr anni and "overweight"!
Hi, All -
I'm thrilled to report that my BMI is now 29.8! I'm no longer obese - I've moved to overweight! LOL - never thought it would be such a thrill to be called "overweight"! Sept 30th was my 1 year anniversary - 113 pounds later, it seems like a heartbeat it's gone so quickly.
Here's my "how life is different for me now" story: on the spur of the moment, I accepted an offer to attend The Rolling Stones concert at Giant Stadium last week. Cheap seats, going by bus from Port Authority. None of that would have worked for me pre-op...not the energy to get through the Port, fitting into a bus or stadium seat...none of it. And it was sooooo easy. As I'm getting smaller, my life is getting bigger. And the topper? When I asked the t-shirt vendor if he had a 2x he said "For you? That's not going to fit." So of course I assumed he meant it would be too small...instead he steered me to an XL, which is a tad large and too long but will probably equal out after a washing/drying. Heh!
Thanks for all the info and support over this past year, and wishing you all well.

Mary,
YEAH for you hun.
I know I just went into being "Overweight" myself and doesn't it feel AWESOME.
Yeah saying overweight feels so good, sounds so funny.
I am not sure if I will hit the "normal" range but this is ok for now.
Well congrats again hun and you should be so very proud....
