Good morning, Deb! Looks like you had a pretty good eating day yesterday! Here's what I had: B- nothing L- 3 oz chicken, leftover vegetable chow mein D- chicken and noodle casserole with cheese... only ate about 6 bites, it made my tummy feel weird S- I made banana bread with splenda, so I tried a slice of it... it's really good, but the splenda leaves a wicked after-taste in your mouth- YUCK! Water- about 48 oz... better than Sunday, but still needs work! I also drink 1 to to cups of coffee a day (one in the morning, and sometimes one later in the evening after dinner) with half and half and splenda Vitamins: C, B12, Flintstones multi, calcium You have a great day, too!!! Hi Debra - Just wanted to say hi, and tell you I caught up on your recent profiling...I'm with you on the it-was-the-drastic-dieting-that-always-left-me-feeling-like-a-failure thing. I admire all the hard work you've done, and really admire you're willing to grab this thing by the horns and do what it takes to make it work for you. Congratulations on all your hard work - you look fantastic in your latest photo! And it was a riot to see you and hubby both in your old pants...hope you can keep that in mind the next time you feel like you're failing! Take care, Mary Mc

Mary, Thank you so much for your kind and supportive words. It is so very hard and I will NOT fail at this again as I have done in the past, I love being thinner and I never want to go back! I should have taken care of this so long ago but after the surgery it sure makes ya see the big picture. Sometimes the picture is not nice but you have to do the best you can do. Thanks again hun and how are things with you? Let me know, email me at [email protected] or post back here. ~hugs~ Debra P

I'll be honest: I've been staying away because I'm struggling with eating too many carbs. I've struggled with embarrassment, shame & guilt, and just plain sadness over the carb issue. I feel like I'm doing well and I feel healthier, but then I see the numbers and I get discouraged. Here's what I had yesterday: B- 1 cup (8 fl. oz.) V-8 Fusion Peach-Mango 1.5 scoops vanilla whey protein powder 5 slices fresh frozen peaches 3/4 cup fresh frozen mangoes S- Ka****LC Pumpkin Spice Flax bar L- small cup (8 or 10 oz.) Wegmans chili D- 1 oz. Wegmans Just Roast Beef slice 1 oz. Wegmans Italian Classics Provolone slice 1 small honeycrisp apple S- 1/2 bag Orville Reddenbacher's Kettle Corn Fitday.com totals: (minus the kettle corn) 960 calories, 27 grams fat, 123 carbs, and 63 grams protein Jen Halliday

Jen, You know I can TOTALY understand you right now. ~just hugs you~ The one thing that as really helped me in a way of thinking about this is........to do the best with watching the carbs that you can do, do not expect 100% because we are still learning and it will take a LONG TIME before it really sinks in and even then we will not be perfect with this! Also the next thing I have been working on is NOT weighing myself everyday nor keeping track to my intake but keep the mental note of things, this way you are not always worried but you are still watching. The goal being: Eating healthy and if you lose weight it is an added bonus. Also adding the walking or any for of exercise is my main goal right now because the weight loss will come after I can get that in place. I am not sure if that helps any and I know you have to work this out that works the best for you but know we are all in this together and so many can relate to this post!!! Debra P
