Considering becoming a support group leader for OH...

Hi everyone....Not sure yet just playing with the idea but i would like to start a support group through OH here in Manhattan....I am in CHelsea...I need to know if people would be interested, if i dont get to many interested then it wont be worth it for me... but if i do get enough I think it would be great to meet at least once a month and support each other............Please let me know. LisaMarie- I would love this! I live in Manhattan as well and would be very interested in this. I am not post op yet, but I will be after this Friday. Anyway, count me in!

I wish I lived in Manhattan too, especially because I'm dying to meet you. I attend an OH support group at St. John's Riverside Hosp. in Yonkers that's run by Mary Timmons. It's really a good way to support each other and we have some fun too. I've gone to a few of them and I really enjoy them, so I hope you get a good response. Joanne

Some people need to come out of hiding and they know who they are!! We are not here to pass judgement or think we are "better" than the ones struggling, we just want to help each other. There is nothing but love around here. Support is very very important in this journey and who else better to understand that people in the same boat you are in. Like my surgeon says you cant help everyone but you can at least try.

Hi i'm new to this site my friend recommended it to me. I am interested in support groups I work in Manhattan and have no problem commuting to the city even on my days off. I'm in!
