Important Reminder for everyone...
I just wanted to say welcome to all the new faces here. ITs so great to have you with us.
Thank you to all the veterans...its so important that all of us who have been at this for a while remember not only do we need this support for the rest of our lives, but we need to remember when we were starting this journey...these boards were such a big part of our lives. We need to stick around be supportive for all the newbies that arrive and to support our buddies that have been here.
I know life gets busy once we loose the weight,
, we find many more things to do. We dont just sit by the computer as we once used to. BUt i do know that most everyone is on this computer enough to pop in and say hello more often.
Its not fair to use the boards only when we need support but we need to be here to support the others as well.....
Thank you for all the support i have recieved over this past year. I really wouldnt have been able to do it without all of you.
Keep up the good work and stay in touch....Please...
I am going to start the weekly chat sessions again soon, maybe in a week or so, i will post to it soon. Again times and days suggestions is welcome before we decide on a definitive one...
Love you guys.

Love the fact that you are doing the chat thing again.
You have always be such a good supporter of the board and I thank YOU for that.
I hope that more will be around since the weather is turning colder...
Take care and have a great weekend....

Hi LisaMarie,
Thanks for this post. It was very sweet and caring, just as you are.
I wish I had found this board earlier on in my WLS journey. I found it after I had selected my Surgeon and been through all the "what if's" so to speak. However, you all have been invaluable in my journey since, and I hope I can give back what all of you "veterans" have given to me.
Post-op, there are so many worries and concerns, and the doctors don't always respond immediately. But reading about similar experiences and feelings here always helped to calm my nerves until the Doctor got back to me. And lack of anxiety, I believe, helps with recovery. So, I thank everyone here for helping my my recovery and healing.
It's funny: when you are waiting for the insurance approval, you could cry, worrying if it will come through. Some of us DID cry when it didn't right away. Then fast-forward to the first few days post-op and as someone put it, we are crying that it *HAD BEEN* approved because we have pain, tubes, etc.
But through it all, this board is the only stable foundation I myself felt, and it's what got me through.
So, again...thanks to all of you, both the Veterans and the Newbies alike! We make a great family!
Hugs to all of you,
Karen
