I was just thinking of you yesterday, hadn't heard much from you lately (busy with work, family, I imagined). You are a wonderfully upbeat person with a million good ideas. Here's my stuff:
Surgery date: May 2, 06
Start weight 301 (including the +30 lbs I lost pre op), height 5'5"
Current weight 212 lbs

Lisa Marie,
Surgery Date and type - Dec 9,2004 Lap RNY
Start Weight and Height - 302 5'6"
Current Weight - 151, as of today I weigh 1/2 of what I used to weigh
Old CLothing size - 3x-4x, super tight 28
Current Clothing size - not sure, I had a lower body lift on 8/30 and I still have lots of swelling. I'm hoping for a 10.
My RNY surgery has been a true blessing. One number that I didn't capture above is my blood sugar, which is now normal without any medication.
Take care,
Mary

Surgery Date and type: May 18, 2006 and Laproscopic RNY
Start Weight and Height: 217.5lbs at 4'10"
Current Weight {174 pounds}
Old CLothing size {2XL and a size 20/22}
Current Clothing size {14/16}
My goal is to be in the 150's by my birthday and I think that's feasible. I gained 3lbs this week due to being a woman (does our excitement never end?)
I am the slow but steady weight loser and i'll take that. Does it get frustrating losing 1-2 pounds a week....SURE DOES but i'll take it over gaining any day! Hugs, ANDI
Awesome thread Lisa !!!
Surgery date 11-29-05
Starting weight 257 5'4"
Current weight 161
Current loss 96
Old size pants 22
Old size shirts 26-28
Old bra size 42DD overflowing
New size pants 10 fitting very loosely not quite an 8 yet ( soooooo amazed)
New shirt size Medium never ever thought I could fit into a medium an occasional size large depending on style
New bra size 38D only because the skin wont fit into a C or a B. I think my cup size is really a B now and could probably also fit into a 36 with no problem. Now that I think of it, I was a 36 B when I met my hubby in high school. Ha Ha
Next step trying to figure out when and how I am going to get plastics done. I haven't come this far to stop now.
I feel beautiful again, I love shopping again, I feel healthy now, I can move move move, I am more flexible, I feel like I fit in not an outsider anymore, I actually have noticed that other people notice me now when these same people used to just sit there drinking their coffee and conversing with who is sitting with them, now they say good morning or hold the door to the coffee place open for me, kind of a bitter sweet feeling, my husband sometimes will walk behind me in the mall or wherever and watch to see who's checking me out, kinda funny, he cracks up. Most of all I have confidence and an inner strength that was lost for a long time and my attitude about life has changed. I used to sit around watching tv all day on my free time and get depressed and sometimes cry. Now I hardly watch tv at all except for certain evening shows after the day is done.
Here are also some WOW moments for me:
Reaching my first goal of below 200
wearing size 10 pants
having the skinny girls at work bring me clothes and then having them be too big
putting on my original wedding ring set and it fits ( haven't been able to wear them in 21 years)
crossing my legs for the first time in my life
wearing high heeled shoes
not wanting the sweets anymore
having someone that knows me well not even recognize me
walking without getting out of breath
stopped snoring according to hubby
having energy
I am sure there are more that I forgot about already, its just those little things that mean so much to us.
Goals:
size 6-8 pants
size small shirts
will be very happy if I hit 140 lbs. original goal was 130, but the skin makes up for a few of those pounds so I upped my goal to around 140
making myself exercise major goal
to get PS full body lift
and career goal of working for myself at home or close to home, I want my own nail salon.
Have a great day everyone,
Shannon Arnold
