Yeah but I am doing it....YEAH
Well I have to because I did not do this surgery to let myself fail...
I do not need to do the shakes normaly but they say in this diet to make sure you get 45 grams of protein suppliments as well so that is why I am doing it now.
They s/f syrups I got on Susan Marie's site bariatriceating.com, she has all the flavors of syrups and all that I have I really enjoy.

HI deb i haven,t posted in a while i am doing well i am at 7months now and have lost 110lbs i can't believe it!. i had my blood work done i am a little low on iron i have to start takeing a supliment oh well,they also want me to up my protien i guess i,ll do a protien shake each day

Thanks hun and I am sure this will jump start my body some....what a change without all the cabs......I think after tomorrow my addiction is gone BUT the mind addiction is still killing me..
I WILL win this, carbs really do not have a choice.

This is what I ate yesterday, Tuesday, 9-19-06:
B- 1 tablespoon SF Jello-O pudding (dry mix) Pistachio
1.5 scoop of whey protein powder
1 cup skim milk
*This was quite possibly the best breakfast I've ever had, swear to God! Try it, it's AMAZING!!
L- 1 oz. beef steak, sliced thin
2 oz. crab salad
3 stalks of broccoli with cheese (yummsters!!)
*My daddy took me out for Chinese & I picked off the buffet. Not too much.
D- 3 oz. thinly sliced beef liver (for iron)
1 oz. Cabot Seriously Sharp Cheddar Cheese
*This was MAD tasty! I love liver! Don't know why, call me nuts, but YUM!
S- 1 oz. Planters Deluxe Mixed Nuts (Almonds, Cashews & Macadamia nuts)
Water- 3 liters (96 fl. oz.)
Fitday.com totals: 991 calories, 51 grams fat, 41 carbs, and 95 grams protein
*I'm happy, overall, with the day's nutrition. However, I don't know if I like the high protein. It's okay, I'l keep on plugging. But Debra, take a look at my carbs; I thought of you when I saw those!!! Keep up the good work on your plateau buster diet! You'll do it, I have no doubt.

Hun the 41 carbs is right where ya need to be so that is good.
I am getting about 15 carbs in now and it seems to be working but we will see...

Remember me ?? the frustrated puree girl ? Well, thanks for your encouraging words that day!
Well I finally started solids about a week ago!
Today was a bit of a bad day, missed class and all - felt nausea all day
B- 1 oz special K 1 oz lactaid milk, 3 blueberries
L- 4 oz of chicken soup with carrots (took all of the noodles out)
D- 11/2 oz of baked chicken with 1/4 c. of baked potato
I am currently not able to get protein drinks down, even tried again today by adding some unflavored to pudding, tried one bite and thought i would be sick....
drank all of my water and took all of my vitamins!

Hello puree girl...
~hugs~ I am glad to hear you are eating regular foods now.
Some days it can be sick feeling all day but that comes with the new pouch, it takes time for your body to get used to it and even then I still have some of "those" days and I am 15 months out.
You might want to try those s/f DeVinci syrups to add to the shakes, it really makes them taste so much better! I am taking the shakes now with the new eating plan for the next 10 days or so and it sure makes a difference. Also I notice it if cut the shake with about 4-6 ice cubes it cuts that strong protein taste. It might help if you want to give it a try. Let me know....
