HELP ! ! ! ! Bad, Weird Pains...normal?
Hi...I am 5 days post op. I didn't think the gas was too bad at all and felt blessed until last night....suddenly.....pains in my middle-left side so bad i fell over. And now they come if I breath in too deeply or move in some ways...out of no where like a foot cramp (you know that curling foot feeling?) but in my left side. Can anyone relate to this? It's 5am here and I can't sleep from worry and pains which seem to hit suddenly and feel like crawling, cramping feetcramps inside. HELP!!
Thanks,

Karen,
I hope you called the Dr already???? Please let us know! I know it could just be gas but you never know and it is better to just have it checked!
Keep us posted!

Hey you better have called that doc of yours!!
Never hesitate that is what they are there for. Could be something simple as gas but could also be something more. Pain is a signal from our bodies that something isnt right. CALL HIM...if you didnt already and let us know.....Hope everything is ok....LisaMarie

UPDATE: I called Dr. Garber's office and they had him call me right back from Mercy Hospital (He's there for surgeries).
He said the pain is a pulled muscle based on my syptoms. It's right where the worst pain usually is and it spasms when I move and breath too deeply so I have to rest it, take the pain meds (which I had been doing but they didn't help) and to walk with a pillow against that area.
So....I feel a bit of relief....but still worried.
Will update when I can.
Thanks for all your concern.
hugssss,
Karen
Karen:
Gas pains can be lessened w/ walking usually!< are u gettingin vits, 64 oz water? dehydration and vit.min def can cause leg cramps (MG, Ca, K etc) levels.
If worsens Id go to ER or see PCP/Surgeon, muscles can be healing, nerves regenerating but early postop do not let anything slide too many othe things it can be as well (leak, clots etc) be well! Yup like Lisa the Nurse in me worries!
