HELP I had fill last sunday and I can not get anything more then soup down

Hi all I have my 1st fill last sunday I have the BIG band so the Doc put 3 cc more in total of 6cc I can not get anything more then soup down and I feel like crap. The Doc said to deal iwth it if I can and it will loosen in a week or 2 as I loose it will allow me to eat more. What should I do???? Or I can go to the office tomorrow and thay will take out some of the fill. Regards, Leon

Have you posted this question on the lap band forum? Most of the people who post on the NY forum have had the RNY, a few have had the DS, VSG, or the Lap band. If your surgeon is sure it's ok, i'd try to follow his advice, although just soup sounds kind of ruff!!! Scott

Leon, Hun I agree with Scott, maybe see of other banders have done about this....I had RNY so I can not offer much but I would try to hold out as long as you can to see how it feels but then again I really do not know much about the band. Keep us posted hun, wish you all the best! Debra P

Hi Leon, I hope by now you have seen the doctor and feeling better. For 24-48 hrs after the fill you should be on full liquids and if you can't even get those down, you might need an small "unfill"... Let us know how you are doing. I just had about my 8th or 9th fill. I lost track. My surgeon is very conservative with the fills. -Dee
