Dear Karen....BREATHEEEE in and out. You are in the hands of two of the best surgeons in the tri state area. This is normal to experience PANIC.....its the old body not wanting to let go. This is going to be one of the greatest adventures of your life. People told me this when I was a few days prior to surgery and I didn't really understand the extent of what was ahead of me. Now I am living the journey and I thank Goddess everyday that I choose to get WLS. May the angels whole the hands of Garber and guide him in his work. May the angels stay with you thereafter and forevermore. You are safe and will be in for the ride of your life. Hold on sister its a rollercoaster of gigantic propotions... Keep in touch...I will see you on the losing side. Hugs Susan

Karen, I felt exactly the same way,I'm sure 90% of the people did. You will get through it,tell the hospital your nerves are bad and they will put some calming medicine in your IV. Good luck for a safe surgery and a speedy recovery.God Bless. Tina

Karen, The minutes leading up to my surgery were some of the scariest in my life. Now, looking back, I can say with absolute certainty that having this surgery was the best thing I ever did for myself. Sending hugs to you, Amy
