Pat,
Yeah I figured it would be a good time to start this back again, so many people are away from the board in the summer.
It sure helps me as well.
Thanks for posting hun

Hi Debra,
I can remember reading these posts pre-op thinking, "wow, I wonder if I'll truly be albe to eat that little too?" LOL
As of last Thursday, I got the okay to start all foods, but avoid, pasta, bread and rice for approx. 3 months.
So yesterday went like this,
Decaf tea with splenda then later...
B. Oatmeal (only ate about 1/2 serving)
L. 1/2 veggie burger-no bun
D. 2 pieces of Bors head Deluxe ham and 1 piece of american cheese, with mixed organic salad and olive oil.
I know I need more protein, but I'm having real difficulty with this issue, hopefully, this will change. I just ordered a sampler packet from bariatriceating.com I hope I like some!
Yesterday, I was able to sip, sip, sip approximately 35 ounces of water (the most yet) I'm trying real hard to increase this.
I too, forgot my vitamins yesterday. I'm thinking of bringing some to work in case that happens again. Does it matter what time they are taken, anybody?
And, sorry to say, no exercise, nada! This is something I'm trying to incorporate into my day, but most days it doesn't get done. H E L P!!!

Maryellen,
Wow and now your 5 weeks out....
Looks like all is going well?....
Congrats on moving to normal foods, kind of scary right?
I can remember that feeling of just not knowing what will be when I eat something new but it all goes well, you learn what your body like and doesn't like. It also changes often so that is good.
Do you do your shakes by chance? I know sometimes they can make people sick with the taste but they really do help with the protien. I found those s/f syrups from Bariatriceating.com and I wish I knew about them before/right after my surgery because they make the shakes taste so good.
Well take care and it is good to have this post back
