Hello everyone I had my upper endoscopy today with DR. Holover. Yay that was my last pre-op test. BY the way ... no one told me / warned about the GROSS - YUCKY gargling stuff. Is it just me or what that stuff nasty? anyway before I knew it I was done and in the recovery room. I have my second consult scheduled with DR. Garber a week from today I can't wait to get my date. (((hugs))) Britt

Hi Britt I am at about the same step you are with Dr. Garber and the PreOp testing. I go for a second endoscopy next Wednesday (when I did the first one I found out I had an ulcer) --and my final (I hope) consultation with Dr. Garber on September 21st. I am very anxious but nervous about continuing on with every. Good luck with your second consultation and I hope you get a date soon!! DebbieM

Hi Debbie, When did you find out about the ulcer? That day after your endocopy? Or Did they call you afterward? I have heard this happen to a few people ... I really am hoping that - I don't have to repeat it, but "it is what it is" right? Best wishes for your repeat endoscopy ... I hope your ulcer is all cleared - Talk to you soon - thanks for replying Britt

Britt, WOWOW!!! Congrats! You're chasing me LOL Um...what gargling stuff? I didn't have that at all...and this is the 2nd time in my life that I had an Endoscopy. Anyway...I'm glad you're moving ahead! The feeling of being done with all those Pre-op requirements is awesome. Then the Pre-op tests and class at Mercy and you'll be there! Anna Stoessel runs the class and it was very informative. They even did a Demo IV (pssst...my profile has details but I warn you...I'm a wimp!) I hope to see you soon at the support groups if not before. HUGS, -Karen PS: Idea! We should talk on the phone before, during, and after!

Hi Britt! Congrats!!! I am right behind you. I have my consult with Holover for the endoscopy on Wed. How long did it take before he scheduled the procedure to be done? I have completed everything else. What was it like? I have never had one before? Thanks and best of luck to you!!! LC

Hi LC, If you read my profile ... for todays date .. I talk about the endoscopy. Not bad at all ..except for this gross tasting garling stuff to nummb the back of your throat. I had my consult with Dr Holover on 8/24 and was schedules for the endoscopy for 9/6 ...but it was moved to 9/7 - so about 2 weeks later. Itook the first available appointment. Britt, Congrats on getting that all done I know it feels great to be moving forward... I had mine with Dr Holover as well and I did not have to gargle with any liquid. Hmmm I wonder if that is something new now. I had mine done well over a year ago so things so change. It is so awesome once that Cert Mail comes with your date in it.... I remember that feeling and it was so awesome, so happy, excited and scared ****less. I wish you all the best... Keep us posted and let is us know when ya get your date. Debra P
