I have my surgery next Tuesday with Dr. Garber as well! On another note: I read the bottom of your profile about the Empire BCBS mess. How did it play out? I have Empire BCBS PPO too...and Dr. Garber is out-of-network so I know I'm going to have to pay some....but your post scared me terribly! What $$$$$ should I expect? Hi Karen, Re the empire ppo, I haven't received any bill from Dr. Garber other than for a couple of followup appointments. I guess I'm still waiting but the further out it gets, the more I don't believe that NY Bariatric will send me a bill. At this time, I'm just counting my blessings and building my savings. If I were you, I would not worry too much at all. The hospital was 100% paid for and that was a really good first sign. Just follow the doc's orders and be stressless. LindaM
