Very Sad!
Hey LisaMarie,
I know what you mean about the summer, I miss my kids too.
But i really do love the fall in NY, I can't wait for the leaves to start changing colors and to be able to take a drive...and now that I'm much thinner and more mobile, i want to learn to snow board..it's amazing what losing close to 200 lbs can do for ya.
As for me this summer. I think the best thing for me this summer was not sweating, and actually feeling chilled in an airconditioned room. Last summer, I sweated so much, I rarely felt comfortable, and I'm almost postitive that I never felt cold. Just being able to do "normal" things, like going to the mall and shopping, and putting on my sneakers without having to pull my leg up to the bed, and then struggling to bend over to tie them. Visiting Manhattan, and not having to take a cab everywhere, because I was actually able to walk or go up and down the stairs to take a subway!!! (loved the $$$ saving on that one).
I took my kids to the central park zoo (I'll be up for the bronx zoo next year), but I was able to walk around for hours with them (side note: don't ever go to the central park zoo on the weekends it's a mad house) and then walk down to FAO swartz and go shopping.
OK and to end the summer...i bought a pair of size 46 pants today down from a size 74+ just a few short months ago.

Hi Lisa Marie,
I apologize for not being "on board" in a while...my summer is still moving along at a snail's pace. I wi**** to be January 31, '07 and my last official day at work!!! I will move on from there.
I spent the last 6 days in the hospital for a small bowel obstruction after being admitted from the ER. It was not fun, and very uncomfortable. I was sent home with a follow up appointment and an order for mineral oil.
That is my official week off for the summer! at least I wasn't at work!
anyway...I'm looking forward to my next visit with my surgeon on the 14th of September. I'm down to 121 from my high of 230 last November 7th. I'm in a 4-6 depending on make and style. I feel great otherwise and will have my second eye done for PRK(Laser surgery) this month so no more glasses either. Next round in a couple of years will be plastics.
Great Post...Everyone keep up the exceptional work!!!! The stories I heard about WLS noncompliance in the hospital staff who have had it is downright scary! We all do
SO MUCH BETTER when we talk things out!!!!
