Good evening again Lisa Marie - Again you come up with the best posts. . I am also a Registered Nurse, I've done a lot of communty health nursing which more than anything else was my favorite. But because of my physical limits I had to stop driving so much (I was averaging 250 -500 miles a week). I am now a telephonic nurse case manager for a worker's compensation company. It is definitely different than anything that I love but I work from home 4 out of 5 days a week and I need that more than I need to be totaly happy with my job. With the weight loss I HAVE an outside life so work is the paycheck to get me there. I can't wait to see what your question is tomorrow. thanks Ann

Hey LisaMarie & OH Community - NY, I always knew I wanted to be an OBGYN - however I also knew that I needed to help my parents with household expenses - so I went the "easy" route and studied business (because I couldn't bare leaving my parents for 8-9 years to study Medicine, without being able to help them financially). I work in Finance for a Hedge fund. I deal with making sure our bank accounts have enough discretionary funds to hedge trades made by our clients. Most of our clients are Institutional Traders - and hence trade large volume - making the market more volatile and more liquid in essence. Well - that's what I do per se - but in actuality I spend around 12-13 hours / five days a week in front of my computer looking at numbers, then I go to meetings for about 20 hours a week. I work all holidays except X-Mas, New Years, and Thanksgiving. Then I drink about 60USD worth of starbucks per week. Not good - right?, this is why I will turn the tables and care for myself now. When I get this surgery - I will be the one that matters... Not my bosses pockets. Although I do enjoy working there - I am neglecting myself - for their benefit. I am ready to stop that soon - without having to quit my job of course. Well, that's what I do in a nutshell. Ciao! (^_^) susie ^_^ susie

Hi all!!!!! I am a licensed Cosmetologist working as a nail tech in a Day Spa, in a town nearby. I went to Cosmetology school at 37 years old, following my live long dream, but after about a year of doing hair after I graduated, I found it to be horrible on my shoulders and back, and the constant standing just killed my knees. So I am now working at the Spa, loving my job, loving my clentele. I love doing pedicures the most it is so relaxing, and since I have had my surgery, it has become much more comfortable to perform these services. Basically I do manicures, pedicures, artificial nail enhancements, and facial waxing. Eventually I want to have my own shop, I hope to be working on that soon. Have a lovely day, Shannon
