Hello Everyone
I just joined this forum today, today is the first day for me posting here, and also today my first step to losing weight. I have a seminar tonight at Mather Memorial Hospital that the Doctor I am going to see requires for all his patients.
I have had 3 failed back surgeries and gained over 100lbs after the 2nd surgery until now, so for now I will this, Today is the new beginning for me in this long journey of getting happy and healthy again, this is the first step for me, I have gone from 103lbs to 173 back to 105 and back now to 247lbs.
I hope to meet you all and share with everyone here.
Well the seminar was great, but now I have to wait for Medicare to give this surgeon the certificate of excellence before he can accept medicare, and this is the only surgeon that does this surgery out of the hospital that my secondary will cover, so I am depressed about that but at the same I am trying to be positive about it and get the other things done, like the pap smear and stuff, the doctor is not worried about me losing weight first because of my back and the disability and how exercise will just make my back worse right now.
I am going to do the GnY procedure, he does this procedure laparoscopically, so I feel better about that, he has a very high success rate it is Dr Ahmad from Pt Jefferson NY, and he is affiliated with the hospital I need for the secondary insurance which is Mather in Pt Jefferson, and he is the only one who does these types of surgeries out of that hospital.
But I am holding my hopes up, his office personnel told me that they were already visited by medicare and they told me they expect to be able to take medicare within about 3-4 weeks.
Keep your fingers crossed for me, and your toes too, LOL.
Thanks for the support.
