Need prayers for my parents

Hi all, Just thought I would come and share what has been going on in my world lately. Mom got her approval from the cardio and pulmonary Dr.s and her date is Sept. 1, she is 69 years old and can use all the prayers anyone can send her way. Dad just found out that he possibly has stomach cancer, they found 2 carcinomas in his abdomen and a hernia near his belly button. He just turned 70 this year. He will be going in for surgery next Fri. the weekend before my mothers surgery. I don't know how long it will be before we find out if it is in fact cancer. He has been feeling quite ill most of the summer, this is the first time in years that I have seen him not busy at least 16 hours of the day, he is sleeping most of the time. He has asked Mom to NOT postpone her surgery. So as far as it goes right now, I will be taking care of both my parents with abdominal surgeries. My brother is coming in later this week from California and will be here until Sept. 6. I myself am doing well. I have been slowly losing about a pound to 2 pounds a week, but it is still moving so that is good. I am now down 90 pounds and feeling very good. I hope through all of this that I can continue to maintain better eating habits cause we all know how stress can be detrimental to us. I hope you all are well and that you are having a great summer. Shannon, Your parents both have my prayers and I also wish the both safe surgeries and quick recoveries.This is a lot for you to take on and the fact that you are tells me you are a wonderful person . Shannon, Hun I am sorry to hear of this and I sure hope the news is good when you guys here something, I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers! Good to hear you are doing so good hun, keep up the good work and try to focus on other things then food with all this stress around but I know that is so much easier said then done.
