Updated pics and info
Good Morning All!!
Well, I finally have updated pictures on my site. I just can't believe the difference. I have lost 135 pounds and am just over 1 year out. I feel great and am totally off all medications except for allergy meds. I no longer need my C-Pap machine!!!!!
I thank God for making this all possible. While considering WLS, I asked God to guide me in my decision if this was in His plans for me. If you remember, I had a couple of setbacks, but finally He approved and here I am a year later.
If I had not had WLS, I may well be in severe pain from lumbar stenosis and herniated disks in my neck and mid-back. I was facing a possibility of a wheelchair, diabetes and other health risks.
I would do this over again in a heart beat with no reservations at all!!!! As a tidbit, I am being baptized on Sunday, August 20th at the age of 59 years old!!! That date is also the birthday of my first child, Ed, who will be 40.
Thank you God for answered prayers.
Keeping you in my thought and prayers.

Brenda,
OMG! You look awesome! I haven't seen you at the support group mtgs at Arnot in a while, so these pics are a great and wonderful surprise! I'll bet you feel tons better! Usually when people say to me, "Wow, you look so awesome," I say, "Thanks and I feel so much better!" I guess I don't know how to handle compliments, so I just deflect them and guide their attention to my health, which is a billion times better. You look better, not just in body, but your smile and your countenance. I'm sure in person it would be better, so maybe I'll see you one of these days! Good luck on Sunday! May God continue to bless you adbundantly!!!

Thank you all for your wonderful and inspiring messages. I also have a problem accepting compliments and just say "Thank you."
I will try to stop by here more often. And I am going to try to attend the local support group meetings so I can see Jen.
All of you have been a great inspiration for me as I read messages and check the board every couple of days.
Again, thank you for you support.
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
