gas?
Hi Janean,
At least I know that I am not the only one going through this. I wonder maybe when our pouches get a little bigger over time, when we eat it , there is just a little more room and gas gets trapped every time we eat.? But if that was the case I think our doctors would have told us this. I know I don't eat alot of gassy foods, It seems like anytime I eat I get very gassy. Well, good luck to you! I hope we can come up with some solution. Thanks Again!!! Kathleen

CERTAIN foods i have to stay away from that cause that.
BUT now that im 14 months out i find i dont get it nearly
as much and can have those foods now.
POPCORN was a big one at the top of my
gas bloat pain list.
hugs
sounds pretty normal.
Try to notice what foods do it. USUALLY comes with foods that
start to expand in our bellies.
Kathleen,
For sure I still get gas and it's from eating too fast and not paying attention to what I'm eating so I gulp instead of chewing 30-50 times. I guess for me it's going back to basics and taking time to enjoy what I am eating. This way, the gas is greatly lessened. I have had a few good burps out of it though!!! I love to burb but since surgery, it's not too often...

Kathleen:
Due to an RNY's malabsorbtion...Think:
Eat sugar get gas
Eat sugar free get worse gas
Drink sweet - get stinky gas
Eat carbs - get gas.
Eat chips - get gas
Drink Wine- get stinky gas.
Go on a high protein diet and have NO GAS AT ALL
Gulp air w/ fluids can cause some gas or chewing gum as well! OR using a straw!?
Take Care,
Jamie
