What can I eat in order to get at least 40 more grams of protein in under 800 calories?

I am a vegetarian (no meat or seafood) so my options are limited...

you could eat 400 more calories of wa

hat you have already eaten. That would work.

As I am learning about Keto I see there are a few different types referred to such as "strict Keto" and "Lazy Keto" Do you follow one or the other? Do you count calories as well? I entered my info into my macro's and it put me at about 1200 calories per day and 20 carbs. Is this a similar plan to what you follow?

Paleo isn't particularly high in fat - that's Keto. But, I don't recommend "doing" Paleo, just using Paleo resources to find recipes :)

One of my friends, and also a neighborhood person do the paleo. It seems very effective for them. I am probably not going that route. I am approaching 66 (they are in their early 40's) and I have had so many health issues that I've found I have to be moderate.

But they have some tasty recipes for high protein, low carb. I just have to watch the fat :) Thanks

I saw her "pizza porn" section, and I'm going to try one slice...

Yes. I've added some almonds, and some days 2 tsp (not TB) of peanut butter. It helps. Thank you!

Topic: RE: Is there ANYONE here who is NOT getting surgery?

My sentiment exactly. He referred multiple times to surgery as "stupid" and "unnecessary", and that we were "duped", and then denied it as part of a response to me earlier. In reality, he didn't take off HIS blinders to read what most of us are saying. I have tried the IF method, extensively, and for a while, it works but is not in my experience and observation (not just with my own life) a sustainable choice. Even WLS isn't sustainable unless we work the process as designed.

I attended the classes with the same fear and skepticism he did. I researched extensively, and like a lot of us here, opted "in" on the process, knowing the future requirements. He didn't. Simple as that. It doesn't make us wrong for choosing it.

His delivery and demeanor was however, very wrong in my opinion. At any rate, I wish him luck.

Wishing you the best of luck.

With your "holier than thou, know it all" attitude you need all the luck you can get.

"You can rant and pretend to be all smug and condescending all you want, but you are no more knowledgeable or experienced than I am. "

Seriously? I weigh 110 and have for about 7 years. That would indicate that I have far more experience and success then you have.

"You're just mad that you got your body seriously modified when you didn't have to."

Again, seriously? I'm not mad in the least, any more than a heart patient is mad that they needed heart surgery. I am glad there is a treatment out there that is successful and I was able to have it. I suspect that you would love to have WLS if your insurance would pay for it or you had the money. Your posts scream sour grapes.

"You impress me not at all, either. You clearly don't know what the hell you're talking about. So you got some surgery that FORCES you to eat minuscule amounts and restricts you from many things you used to be able to eat - you want a medal?"

No medal but if you think that I am thin because I am forced to eat minuscule amounts, think again. If that were the case then no one would regain after WLS. It takes commitment to eating healthy in order to lose weight and keep it off, no matter what route you go. You may not be impressed but I sure am. I have never in more than 50 years been able to be a normal weight for more than a nanosecond. I am very impressed when any formally MO person is able to lose weight and keep it off for a period of years. Not days or months but years. That is why your arguments don't impress me. Again, check in in about 5 years and I will be impressed. Six months, not so much.

Your absolute ignorance amuses me. For you to think that WLS makes it easy to lose weight and keep it off shows how little you know. If you ever are able to have surgery you will find out how much work it takes. I hope someday you do have the opportunity but if you do I hope you are better educated in the responsibilities involved in having surgery. It is a huge commitment and the more knowledge you have the better your chances are of succeeding. I wish you well.
