I have found that Jay Robb protein shakes are really good.  they are thinner and mix completely...no residue.  A sample package of flavors are available also.  they are all lightly flavored, not intense like some.  good luck!

Which surgery did you have?

I had the VSG and never had any issues with liquids.  Still don't.  But I can't eat more than 6 ounce of food at 18 months post-op.

I am 11 days post op and I am always hungry.    Still on liquids but I do not thinK I will be eating less on stage 3  I can tolerate 12oz if I wanted to but I try not to go over 8oz at once.  I do not feel the surgery helped me much on controlling my hunger

Totally agree. I have tried all of their flavours and there is just way too much stevia in these for me to even get past a sip.

Thanks!  Do you take Vita4Life calcium separate from the Vitamin D? Which of their calcium choices (they usually have several) do you use?  I live at the beach so I do spend lots of time in the sun! :-)

I cant find the nutritional information on this. Can it be made decaf? What would the carb count be? It says it has 20 proteins in it but if it has 50 million carbs I am out....

200 cals

34 gms carbs

21 gms sugar

and it doesn't say what kind of protein, probably an inferior one.

Calcium is an important mineral that is needed for the development of healthy bones and teeth; it is also essential to maintain proper muscle and nerve function. Because of the importance of calcium for maintaining a healthy body and preventing osteoporosis, calcium supplements are one of the most commonly used supplements in today’s society. However, some of the calcium side effects that have been uncovered recently may make some people think twice before adding this supplement to their daily regimen.

you would know about these side effects if you read on this site before posting an outdated article.

Ther are tons of posts about the kind of calcium we need and what can be side effects.

I have purchased samples of Vega One and have tried the chocolate and french vanilla.

Chocolate - mixed with unsweetened almond milk-  flavor was palatable but has a very strong stevia after taste that made it undrinkable

French Vanilla - mixed with unsweetened coconut milk was good ad I can see actually enjoying the taste after a few days.

This is from 2012.  And demonstrates a) the importance of taking the right kind of calcium (CITRATE) and b) having lab work done regularly to make sure you're getting the right amount.
