the only fat I avoid are trans fats. but.... I also look at what is the source of the fat and I avoid soy oil, hydrogenated oils, canola oils..
anything else - is a fair game to me..
avocado, nuts, bacon, meats, eggs.. etc..

You're very welcome. I'm glad to hear you're getting some sun. That will help a lot! I take the 2 calcium in the morning, 1 of their vitamin D mid day and the second half of the calcium dosage in the evening. Their calcium already contains 200IU of vitamin D3 so be sure to include that into your daily intake. Their Vitamin D3 supplement contains 30,000IU in one dosage, so that's quite a lot. You could very easily just take a magnesium supplement with your mid-day dosage and see how you do with that after a few months.
Ohh didnt actually check the date

I'm a bit confused. When looking at labels, which of these should I be looking at or should I combine both when choosing the right foods? Thanks!

I am less than two weeks out and can drink up to 16oz of liquids in an hour
A single serve packet of cashew butter was the first soft food I ate once I was cleared to progress out of full liquids. No problems for me, but nut butters are not a trigger food for me.
At what point in your post op diet phases fid you begin to eat nut butters? Nuts are like my #3 most craved item right now and I'm really hoping I can try peanut butter soon. I'm almost 2 weeks post op VSG and I'm about to go from full liquids yo pureed foods.
Same here. I had a sleeve. I'm 2 weeks post op and I can chug liquids no problem. But I tried a bit of thicker soup today and got full very quickly. So I had the same fear a few days ago as you have, but I think some people just have less swelling and have an easier time with liquids than others.
look at the ingredients, OptiFast is full of sugar and artificial sugar... if you have a sensitivity, that could explain your headaches...and drink lots and lots of water!
