hi there,
pb2 is a different product then the jig powder. it is very tasty.
quest bar is an excellent bar... 20 grams of protein, 5 carbs 180 cals, and 17 grams of fiber. they have a ton of flavors. my fav is the pb and strawberry jelly,
i like a iced tea protein drink by nectar... 24 grams of protein.
on the website syntax you can get many samples very cheap.. by single packets till you find a flavor you like.
good luck on the surgery. GBP is the best thing i ever did for myself.

Hi! Newbie here. I read so much on forums about PB2. Is this the same thing as the JIF powdered PB? I am trying to stock my cupboard with items I will need pre/post OP. I have read about many people mixing this with their protein shakes, yogurt, etc. Also, can anyone recommend protein bars that they have found taste the best? Thanks! Best wishes on all our journeys!
I'm curious as well. In my diabetic class we were taught to use net carbs, but for pre and post surgery I'd like to know what is used. Thanks for posting this question!
In a shootout between dietary fats and carbs, to find out which is better for cutting body fat, dietary fats wins hands down. To be more specific, a research study proves that when obese adults cut down the intake of dietary fat it led to 68 percent higher reduction of body fat than when they cut down the same number of carbohydrate calories.
Hi all
I apologize but I have not attempted to start a new group.
I'm so busy with my last year of school that any spare time is used on caring for family obligations.
However I do see that there are plenty of "get back on the wagon" type groups under the Community tab.
I am thinking of going to one of the support group meetings where I had my vsg done in San Antonio, TX next month, even though its been 6 yrs since the surgery.
I am now 35 pounds heavier, sigh...
Depends on the person. The goal isn't weight loss - it's making sure your liver is healthy enough for surgery.

Are you taking a PPI such as prilosec or nexium? Most often hunger is due to stomach acid.

It all depends on your immune system, exercise along with liquid diet or your physical activity into your daily schedule.
I am preparing for my surgery on august 31st. I just started the 2 week liquid diet that my surgeon requires. I am just wondering how much weight people have lost from this diet?
