I've had success with them before. The pre-made meals help since I won't have to weigh and cook so much. Counting points is easier for me than counting calories, carbs, sugars..etc..
100g of carbs sounds like a lot.... I see you are losing, but if you start having trouble losing maybe cut back on the carbs some. I only count protein and water/fluid. My doc doesn't give us a carb number just "Protein first, then veggies then if you have any room fruit and starchy carbs". SO he doesn't say no carbs just put it at the end of the list.... still counting protein and water...

Whether you like it or not most people do eat low carb, especially right after surgery. You will have to figure it out with your boyfriend. Maybe freeze portions of carbs for him - cooked pasta, rice... so you eat meat and veggies together and then he can have his carbs. Just a suggestion.

You could est half a bar... I used to carry mine in a snack type zip lock bag so I could eat 1/2 and then save the other half. There are 2 sizes of bars, this is the larger...

did not like them much. I recommend Baritrack and blend with Fairlife milk and peanut butter. You can get over 30g of protein in one serving.

Thank you for all of your suggestions. I am pre-op and I know that my diet is extremely important right now. I need to show my surgeon and honestly, myself, that I can really commit to this change and make my life better. I am completely aware of what I need to eat and how I need to eat but for some reason I am having an issue with actually implementing it. I have my last nutritionist appointment tomorrow and I am going to make sure to let her know of my concerns. I have to make this change and I need to do it now.
I wish I could hire a grocery shopper and a chef for myself...it would be so much easier!
if you know how and what to eat, but can't implement it, how can you implement Weight Waychets?
Here are the nutritional stats for both PB2 and Jif Powdered PB both can be found at your grocery store. Ok lets see if the information sticks this time.
Never mind the darn information will not stick in the post.
Basically both PB2 and Jif Powdered PB are very close in stats and either one would be a good alternative to real PB.
Definitely check the labels. There are other types of proteins like soy or plant if whey isn't working.

Check the labels on your protein drinks. The first ingredient should be whey protein isolate. It is highly absorbed...more than the other proteins. I have been drinking the Promasil from GNC (still not 100% isolate) but I have a hard time keeping any of the proteins down.
