If what you are doing is working then stick with it. My only concern is 1800 calories is a lot of calories to eat being you are that far out - quantity wise. If you are eating that much you should be eating like 6 times a day 300 calories. Whether you are burning it off or not, your pouch is only so big and you don't want to overfill it.
Many people here suggest not eating the exercise calories. I would say if you are hungry, eat some of them... if not- it is not necessary.
You are just coming up on 6 months out from surgery. It will start to get harder to lose at some point and you may need to adjust.

I am new to this forum...previously I had a LapBand, which needed to be removed after 20 months due to excessive reflux issues. I lost nearly 100 pounds...and have regained some of the weight to the point of choosing to have the RNY procedure to improve my health. Both my Type 2 Diabetes and Hypertension have returned.
I have done all of the prep work necessary, and am scheduled to meet with the surgeon next week.
Post band, I did experience some thinning of my hair. Most difficult for me was the almost total loss of my eyelashes. I am a poster child for compliance, got my fluids and protein, and vitamins daily. I even have taken Biotin, which I am unsure if that even helped.
Has anyone else ever lost their eyelashes post op? What has helped with minimizing hair loss post op? And for me, eyelashes post op?
Any and all insights and information will be appreciated!
It is not normal to lose your eyelashes. You need to see a dermatologist.
Just curious.... why would you eat back some of the calories you burned?
I am 2 months out from sleeve surgery and finding how much I dislike dense proteins: meats, boiled eggs.
I really enjoy fruit, veggies, salads, soups, and fish.
What other protein options are there besides protein shakes that I absolutely detest? Suggestions?
I would skip the fruit and all veggies bit green leafy ones. Fruit and many begs are pure sugar. As long asy Ou are eating them your body will use that reDy sugar for energy instead of burning your stored fat for energy. Burning less stored fat means you will lose less weight.
you don't really have to like dense proteins, you just have to do it.
We just got a Ninja Master Prep Professional (QB1004) for under $50 on Amazon. We like it so much we got another for my son's college apartment. It comes with three different containers for different uses, but it is still less expensive than others. It makes great protein shakes, pulverizing ice cubes into slush.
My plan very specifically prohibits liquid calories.

I think because most of us here watch our sugars so closely, you will struggle to find many who juice on a regular basis. I did try juicing about 2 years ago, and I found it less satisfying and less beneficial than doing a smoothie-based diet. When you blend instead of juice, you still get all the fiber from your food, and you need less of the sugary fruits to make a serving than with juicing, because the flavor profile is greater for the whole fruit/vegetable than when you just extract the juice. Plus you can try all kinds of combos and have fun with it. Preop I was having a smoothie for breakfast and for dinner, and a normal light lunch. It was very maintainable.
Hello everyone,
I am 14 years post RNY. I've managed to keep most of my weight off. I initially weighed 267 and now I'm currently 150 and went down as low as 126. It's a struggle everyday, but in my plight to stay healthy and eat right I wanted to know if anyone is juicing and if so, are there any recipes and/or books you could recommend.
