Hi, my nutritionist and doc said for 2 weeks post op you should be on full liquid, such as cooked cereal (not oatmeal), blended yougurt (with no seeds or fruit pieces) cream soups (strained so no mushrooms, chicken etc is in it), skim milk with carnation instant breakfast or protein supplement (no sugar added) is great for protein.. Then for 4 weeks pureed food, anything that is pureed to a baby food consistency.. chew, chew, chew Scrambled eggs are considered a mechanical soft, that is not supposed to be eaten until the next 4 weeks, that is why you had a little pain with it.. mechanical soft stage then consists of anything you can chew well and will beable to get the baby food constency from chewing, such as green beans, baked fish, baked potatoes (no skin) peaches, skim milk and dont forget the Protein! I hope this helps you and you have great success!! Tina
