Vitamins....what kind and is there a "one dose" solution?
I just had my appointment with my bariatric centers Nutritionist, she told me that Celebrate Multi Vit 60 had everything I needed except the calcium. I would take 2 Celebrate multi vit 60 for breakfast then a calcium chew for lunch dinner and end of day snack. I would not have to take my b 12 separately because Celebrate already has it in the multi. If you bought your vits from otc you would have to buy at least five different vits and that could cost a lot. I priced Celebrate on there website and it will only cost me 105.00 every two months. hope this helps.
Nope! And, because of the way calcium and iron work, we need to take vitamins 4 times a day. This is because bodies can only use 500mg of calcium at a time, and we need 1200-1500mg/day, so that's three doses for calcium. Then iron and calcium must be taken separately to let iron absorb, so that's dose #4.

I was told it also depended on the type of surgery you had. So with my sleeve, I need a multi and 2 calciums a day. Just that easy. We compared all the multis with my pharmacist and found that the flinstones complete chewables were the most comprehensive and fufilled my doctors requirements. They are also small and don't taste horrible. The calcium chewables are another story..lol..I do have to do those at lunch and dinner and they are a *****alky, but it's a small price to make sure you don't break any bones and that you body has the nutrients to lose the weight. Good luck.
