Egg Substitues

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had any custard recipe's using egg replacement. A friend of mine suggested that this would help me better manage my weight by having something closer to custard rather than trying and failing to cut out my favourite food completely.

Ive tried some recipes I found on the internet but they have been a total failure and I was hoping someone may have some ideas. Currently I am using Orgran No Egg, egg replacer mix but if anyone has any better suggestion that would be great. I have some really good results with egg white replacement (meringues are another favourite of mine :)) but cant seem to achieve the same results with egg replacement.

Hello Alan - I haven't made it in a while but silken tofu and Birds makes a really great custard!

I was not a fast loser but who cares as long as you get there! I know the newbies check the trackers and the signatures so although I kind of lost track of how the rest of the weight came off, you should know that it was not fast and furious but it was slow and steady!

current BMI 24.7 that, my friends, is NORMAL!!! Strong is the new pretty!

I've tried making egg white only but its really not the same.

You can add egg white powder to cream soups and other things to add protein

I agree! There is NOTHING wrong with eggs. Eat them all you want! They DO NOT increase your cholesterol - that's a myth.
