Recommendation for vitamins
Generic brands of multivitamins are fine. But almost all long term RNYers need extra D3, iron, and B12. Sometimes very large doses.
You need to hae labs drawn regularly, and adjust vitamins as needed. There really isn't a particular brand or dose.

I take a multivitamin made specifically for bariatric patients, as well as calcium citrate supplement with vitamin D3. The vitamin is just once a day, the calcium is 3x a day. Here is what I take:
Calcium: (these taste yummy and come in other flavors)

as always I would check with your dr's office
BUT
as for me ... I was anemic and was told to take prenatal vitamins which have worked fine for me, my iron levels are great now and it didn't take long to get it leveled out... i currently take the spring Valley brand from walmart and have been for about 3 years now
